July 12, 2005 By: Sheena Greenwood Home Elliptical Trainers – Precor Elliptical Unveils Total Body CrosstrainerLower body. Upper body. Total body. The Precor® EFX®5.33 Total Body Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainer™ product has it all. The latest product from the inventors of the elliptical crosstrainer features ergonomic handlebars for the upper body and the patented no-impact elliptical stride for the lower body. "Our lower body EFX Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainer for the home has been very popular," said Paul Byrne, Precor president. "In fact, it was recently named a Best Buy by Consumers Digest magazine. With the EFX5.33, we've taken that same popular machine and added the benefits of upper body movement. Now people can get a total body workout without ever leaving their home." Fitness Showcase regional sales manager and authorized Precor dealer Ray East agrees. "It's a grand slam, home run. Customers have been asking for this and it has far exceeded their expectations - and ours," said East. Basically, Precor took their already popular elliptical to the next level. By engaging muscles in the upper body, the EFX5.33 offers users a total body workout that can be varied by adjusting one of 20 levels of resistance. Meanwhile, its ramp is fixed and neutral at a 25° angle to accommodate the widest range of lower body muscles including the gluteus, hamstrings, quadriceps and calves. The ramp provides users with a stride that simulates the natural motion of walking or running. Since the EFX5.33 does not have a motor, it is remarkably quiet. Users can easily watch TV or listen to music while exercising in the comfort of their own home. About
