May 31, 2006 By: Dennis Villebrun Elliptical Workouts Data – A Better Way To Track Your Workout DataAfter a period of anticipation, the Crosstrainer Palm Pilot 1.0 Beta has been released for testing. A small but committed group of beta testers have been putting the application through vigourous testing and have been reporting back positive results. This first release allows you to exchange elliptical workouts data with Palm OS-based handheld devices. Subsequent releases will provide tools for tracking health and nutrition. Working very closely with the main Crosstrainer program, the Crosstrainer Palm application makes it easy to manage information about your personal fitness program and store the elliptical workout data right on your handheld. The Palm device collects data for both your Strength Training and Cardio Workouts. Simply download your workout schedule from Crosstrainer for quick access at the gym or where ever you exercise. Then with the base information already entered, you fill in your workout details as you go. When it's convenient, hotsync your palm and beam the information back into Crosstrainer. One of the most important reasons to keep a record of your workouts is to chart your progress. With Crosstrainer, you can use the information that you collected with your Palm device to compare, graph and analyse your exercise performance over time. Use metric or imperial measurement, autofill in previous exercise fields to speed data entry at the gym. Taking less time entering your data gives your more time to do other things - like your workout. Crosstrainer for Palm helps you to accurately and easily record your workout details. Then allows you to use the powerful analysis tools of Crosstrainer to track, monitor and compare your performance and highlight your achievements. And seeing your progress will keep you motivated and working towards your goals. About
